Baños

Baños is a small city surounded by mountains, active vulcanoes, rivers and waterfalls. In short the perfect place to practise extreme sports.
You can do mountain biking, climbing, canyoning, horse riding,rafting,.. plenty to keep you occupied for a few days.
We started with mountainbiking the route of waterfalls. It's a long route but the views were just amazing. The high point was the Pailon del diablo. A huge waterfall that felt very powerful.
The sign of Baños is a swing. A swing on top of a mountain where you swing over a cliff. When you are swinging away looking over a view of mountains and vulcanoes you get an incredible feeling of freedom.
The last activity we did was canyoning where we climbed off several waterfalls. The highlight was a 45m waterfall. You do need to switch off a mental blockade that prevents you from taking that first step but once you do the adrenaline rush is fantastic.
Time was not on our side so I will need to go back one day for the other activities, but I got a nice taste of the adventure called Baños.
